Frequently asked questions

How do I book?

You can book a treatment through the booking link on this website or by getting in touch directly. If you have any questions before booking, I’m always happy to help.

What should I wear for my treatment?

For foot reflexology, you will only need to remove your shoes and socks. It would be great to have access up to your knees if possible. For the combi treatments and Indian Head Massage please wear a vest top if you’re happy for me to use an oil.

How often should I have reflexology?

This varies depending on your needs. Some clients enjoy reflexology as a regular monthly treatment to support ongoing wellbeing, while others book more frequently during times of stress or when they feel they need extra support. I’m always happy to discuss what might work best for you.

What products do you use?

I use organic, natural products where possible to nourish the skin and enhance the therapeutic benefits of the treatment.

Is reflexology safe during pregnancy?

Yes, reflexology can be a wonderful support during pregnancy. I offer specialised maternity reflexology, which is tailored to the needs of expectant mothers. I’m always happy to discuss what might work best for you.

Who should not have treatment?

Reflexology, massage and facials are safe for most people but there are certain situations where I cannot treat: Reflexology: Cellulitis in treatment area, fever or contagious illness, deep vein thrombosis or pulmonary embolism, current foot infection such as athletes foot, fungal infection. Facials are not suitable for anyone in their first trimester of pregnancy or anyone who has had facial surgery including facelift within 6 months of surgery and/or injectables such as botox or fillers within 3 weeks of procedure.Indian Head Massage is not suitable for people who have had haemorrhage, thrombosis or embolism or are in the first trimester of pregnancy. If you have cancer, varicose veins, high/low blood pressure, severe circulatory disorders and heart conditions - please seek clearance from your GP ahead of treatment.

Are you LGBTQIA+ friendly?

We are committed to providing a welcoming, respectful, and safe environment for all members of the LGBTQIA+ community.

Can I come for just one treatment?

Yes, absolutely. While some clients choose to have regular treatments to support their ongoing wellbeing, many people simply book a session when they feel they need time to reset, de-stress or take care of themselves. Even a single reflexology or massage treatment can help calm the nervous system, release built-up tension and create a deep sense of relaxation.

What’s your cancellation policy?

If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, I kindly ask for at least 24 hours’ notice. Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged at the full treatment price, as this time has been reserved especially for you and is often difficult to fill at short notice. I completely understand that pregnancy can be unpredictable, so this policy does not apply to maternity clients from 27 weeks onwards, where plans can understandably change quickly. Thank you for your understanding and for respecting the time set aside for your treatment.

Can I claim my treatment through a health care plan?

Some private health care plans do allow reflexology and Indian Head Massage treatments to be claimed. As policies vary between providers, I recommend checking with your insurer to confirm whether reflexology is included and which professional membership bodies they recognise. I am a member of the Association of Reflexologists (AoR), which is recognised by many health care providers. After your treatment, I can provide a receipt or invoice that you may be able to submit as part of your claim. If you need any additional information for your provider, please feel free to get in touch and I’ll be happy to help.

What is the difference between the Reflexology Facial and Zone Face Lift?

The Reflexology Facial includes hot towels and a full skincare routine — cleanse, exfoliation, mask and moisturiser — alongside the specialised techniques used in the Zone Face Lift. Both treatments combine skin-enhancing, naturally rejuvenating massage and gua sha techniques with the healing and balancing benefits of facial reflexology.

Do you have any offers?

Yes we do! If you refer a friend you’ll both receive 10% off your next treatment.

What you can expect from a session?

Before your treatment:

Before your first session, I’ll ask you to complete a short consultation form. This allows me to take a full holistic overview of your physical health, emotional wellbeing and lifestyle so I can create a treatment that truly supports you.

Your first session includes a longer conversation so I can really understand you — not just what’s going on physically, but what’s happening in your life more broadly. This allows me to take a truly holistic approach to your treatment.

During Your Treatment

You’ll lie comfortably on the massage couch in my warm, quiet studio. A weighted eye mask can be offered to encourage immediate relaxation, and I gently open each session with a short grounding meditation. This helps calm the nervous system and allows your body to move into a restorative state more quickly. Reflexology should not feel painful. Occasionally you may notice tenderness in certain areas — this can reflect imbalance or tension within the body.

After Your Treatment

At the end of your session, I’ll gently bring you back to the room and offer you water. We’ll discuss anything I noticed — areas of sensitivity, patterns or imbalances — and I may suggest simple self-care or lifestyle adjustments to support your wellbeing between sessions. Reflexology continues working beyond the treatment itself, so if possible, allow yourself some quiet time afterwards rather than heading straight back into a busy schedule.

Healing reactions

Occasionally, you may experience what’s known as a healing reaction after reflexology or holistic bodywork. This is a temporary response as the body rebalances and processes the treatment.

You might notice:

Tiredness

Mild headache

Increased urination

Changes in sleep

Emotional release

Temporary intensification of symptoms before improvement

These responses are usually mild and settle within 24–48 hours. Drinking plenty of water, resting and listening to your body will help.

Most clients leave feeling lighter, calmer and more grounded — with a renewed sense of connection to themselves.
